Thank you for your e-mail and the information you shared.

As a district, we are making a concerted effort to "go green" whenever
possible, and this e-mail feature through the One Call Now system
provides that opportunity:  we can share student-related information
with a great number of people with the click of one button, and best of
all, it requires no paper, toner, copy machines, etc.

Good afternoon to you, Ms. Brunelle,

While it’s true that sending the information via your electronic megaphone is greener than printing it all out and sending it home, much of the information has already been shared via paper, toner and copy machine and sent home in my child’s pack, so really all you’re doing is diluting the efficacy of a wide area notification system under the questionable guise of being environmentally friendly.

You might considering seeing my blog post about this for more details on how what you’re doing is actually endangering the students.
