I have credit cards I’m trying to get the balances off of. I over spent in the past and now I’m trying to be good and dig out. Recently, I paid off my card from the First National Bank of Omaha.
Today, I received a letter in the mail saying they appreciate my business, but I haven’t used my card in a while, so they’re going to start charging me a “low” annual fee of $75.00 to service my account.
OK…first off, not having to do anything with my account means to work for them, so what the hell is the $75.00 paying for exactly? They’ll likely say record storage, except I’ve been a customer for over 2 years now, so they already have bought and paid for the 1/20000th of a hard drive it takes to store my account on.
Second, isn’t this a bit like me having a customer who bought a 100.00 marble from me, telling them I appreciate their purchase then bending them over the table and anally raping them as a special thank you?
I’ll tell you what First National Bank of Omaha. I’m rejecting your change. You can take your change and shove it up your own asses because I don’t swing that way. I’m going to call on Monday to make it official, but in the mean time, be thankful I don’t eat a box of prunes, wipe my own butt with the letter and mail it back to you.
Yes, I know the reduction of overall available credit will hurt my credit score temporarily, but you know what? I already have a car, I already have a mortgage, I already have gone to college so I’m not looking at any major loans, so FU First National Bank of Omaha. FU, and F your change.
