If you’re like me, you have several glass haunts online. One of my current favorites is Torch Bugs, one of the latest lampworking sites, and a pretty mellow place to boot.
What sets Torch Bugs apart from the other sites? It’s a very open space. It’s not terribly rowdy (generally). It’s low judgement. In short, it’s a very open environment and welcoming to all glass disciplines. While it’s lampworking centric, everyone from fusers, to coldworkers, to boro addicts to the softer set, all are invited and welcomed with open arms.
All that is asked is tolerance for ideas other than your own. What’s art for one is not for another. That’s ok. It’s ok to say that, but be polite.
Stop by, post an opinion, post a question, post an answer, share your glass. Celebrate the material and what can be made from it. Light the torch, catch the bug.
See you there!
