Munkin Arts LLC is the business manifestation of me, Tom Kies, a self professed glass artisan. Unless otherwise noted, all of the items you find on this site have been made by my own two hands in my shop located in central Massachusetts. My primary material is glass, but that doesn't mean the odd bit of silver won't make it's way in from time to time as I play with Precious Metal Clay (PMC). On occasion you may even find a silver piece by Gillian Kies, my wife of 10 years.

By profession, I'm a software developer for a large corporation. I found that I wasn't happy not having something I could hold in my hand at the end of the day, so I found a class at the Worcester Center for Crafts, signed up and fell in love with glass. Glass became my creative outlet. I lucked out and found a glassworker on my local Craigslist that was getting out of the business and was selling his studio setup.

Due to family and work constraints, I primarily only do shows in the fall and winter, however I do make and sell items all year round.
